Bloomberg reports that U.S. Sen. Herb Kohl (D-WI), chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee's Subcommittee on Antitrust, Competition Policy and Consumer Rights, is planning a hearing on the proposed Express Scripts and Medco mega-merger.

Alex Wayne reports, "A second Congressional committee is planning to examine antitrust concerns raised by Express Scripts Inc.'s proposed purchase of competitor Medco Health Solutions Inc., congressional aides said."

The CEOs of Express Scripts and Medco faced sharp questioning during a September 20 hearing of the House of Representatives Judiciary Committee's Subcommittee on Intellectual Property, Competition and the Internet.
